Highlights

This Major Modernization Project included three segments: a heart hospital, core services, and a cancer pavilion.  The $120 million, 260,000 sf expansion and renovation of core services, relocated women's and infants' services, increasing the inpatient beds on the campus from 528 to 708, and expanding the emergency and surgical department including central sterile, and pharmacy.  In 2007, the new Heart Center was occupied, while the design was underway for the core services phase of the project.  Opening earlier in 2007 was a cancer ambulatory care center including services such as chemotherapy, medical and surgical oncology, breast services and a full line of diagnostic imaging.

Korbel’s responsibilities included preparation of an equipment list, decrement with reusables based on performing an on-site inventory, validate with user input, coordinate with project plans and turn over to the owner’s purchasing department. Korbel Associates also developed and located plan view equipment icons on the architect’s drawings.
