Highlights

As part of the Avera Health System, Sioux Center Community Hospital & Health Center chose to replace its aging facility on a new site. The community and staff are very proud and excited for the 2013 opening of this facility. The program elements include all major Diagnostic Imaging modalities, Surgical Suite with Sterile Processing, Inpatient Care, Labor & Delivery Suite, Rehabilitation Medicine, Health Information Management, Emergency Department, Clinical Laboratory, Pharmacy, Occupational Health, and other administrative and ancillary support departments. The facility has a key stakeholder in its primary and specialty care clinics, with special concentration on geriatrics to serve the needs of the local population.

Korbel Associates began its service with a comprehensive inventory of the facility’s equipment and furnishings in the spring of 2011. This inventory data was crucial in the planning, as the facility incorporated significant reuse of existing equipment for relocation to the new facility.  Korbel Associates conducted many on-site user meetings throughout Design Development to refine the equipment list. Our service included equipment placements, and concluded with the construction documents phase.
