Highlights

Saint Clair Hospital is currently in construction phase of 180,000 sf addition project with the following elements: ten operating room suites, six endoscopy rooms, two procedure rooms, PACU & Pre-Op, SPD, Diagnostic Imaging suite (MRI, CT, Gen Rad, R/F, Nuc Med), Physical and Occupational Therapy, Pre-Admission Testing & Phlebotomy, Cardio-Diagnostic Suite, Heart & Vascular Suite, Infusion Center, Eye Clinic, Orthopedic Clinic, Urology Clinic, and other medical office and support spaces.

Korbel Associates began its service in November 2017 doing a complete equipment inventory of areas affected by the project, including offsite locations. We held several rounds of planning meetings (both on-site and conference calls) in conjunction with the design team over the course of 2018 with clinical user groups. Korbel facilitated reviews with leadership to determine budget priorities and classify items as capital acquisitions. We provided 3D Revit model of equipment placements for the project design team.

Beginning in late 2018, Korbel Associates was contracted to perform procurement support services. Most of the major equipment (surgical lights & booms, sterile processing, imaging modalities, etc.) has been ordered. Procurement is ongoing for other categories of equipment. The new construction is slated to open in November 2020. The Owner's Representative on the project is Millcraft Ideas from Pittsburgh.
