Fairview Southdale Hospital has undertaken a project to fully relocate its Emergency Department.  There will be a total of 43 treatment spaces including intake and urgent care rooms.  The department includes a trauma room, two resusciation rooms, and five behavioral health spaces.  CT Scan and Radiography rooms are being relocated as part of the project.  On the floor above the ED, a new 18-bed Observation Unit is being planned. 

Korbel Associates' scope began in late 2012 with a complete inventory of existing equipment and equipment budget estimating.

Construction began in fall of 2013 and the facility opened in August 2015.
