As an affiliate of Bozeman Deaconess Health Services, the new Big Sky Medical Center will serve the growing community of Big Sky, Montana. The facility will include an onsite diagnostic imaging center with general radiology, CT scanner, ultrasound, and mobile MRI, laboratory services, and an integrated pharmacy with extended retail pharmacy services. It will initially be outfitted for a four-bed inpatient unit for admissions and observation with space to increase to eight beds. A primary care clinic and physical therapy services will be on-site. The facility will feature an integrated electronic medical records system with Bozeman Deaconess along with telemedicine and teleradiology linkages to Bozeman Deaconess. Big Sky Medical Center will be licensed as an Acute Care Hospital, with the possibility of evaluating the benefit of pursuing Critical Access Hospital certification in the future.
Korbel Associates began work in November 2013 with full design phase equipment planning services, and has completed construction documents as of summer of 2014. Korbel has also been hired to perform full scope of equipment procurement services - spec finalization, logistics, purchasing support, construction coordination, scheduling and delivery coordination. The building had its grand opening in December 2015.
