Highlights

This major multi-phase tower project includes 14 operating rooms, sterile processing, Emergency Observation, Labor Delivery Suite, NICU suite with 32 individual rooms, Intensive Care Unit, and 2 floors of Medical Telemetry. EMMC is a Pebble Project member, and inpatient rooms were designed for adaptable acuity. The project was put on hold in 2008 pending CON review and was revived at the end of 2011. With a few modifications, the original design is being carried forward, and implementation will occur in a couple project packages. Invasive and non-invasive cardiology are also now part of the project scope.

Korbel Associates joined the project team in 2007, performing equipment inventory and provding an equipment budget. Korbel’s scope includes several rounds of meetings in 2008, which were picked up again in 2011-2012. 3D Revit families for equipment were provided as part of our graphics service. Along with clinical engineering and finance personnel, we helped with the strategy and tracking of dividing the equipment into New Purchase (Project), Routine Replacement, End-Of-Life Replacement, and reuse categories to help meet the CON requirements.

Phase 1 is currently under construction and is slated for occupancy in early 2016.
